My idea consist of having a polarized contact lens that can be prescription or regular that tints to how bright it is outside. Similar to the eye glasses that change from clear to dark, these contacts would do the exact same but you would not have to wear any sort of glasses. This contact would let people be outside and take away any chance of getting a sunglass tan. After being outside, you wouldn't need to change any sort of lens because the lens would automatically change. Additionally, the polarized part of the contact lens acts like a normal polarized pair of sunglasses would. Polarized lens's are a lot healthier for your eyes than normal sunglasses lens's and would make everything have a crisp image.

Nike's Maxsight contact lenses are the new and up and coming contact lens that is made for athletes to increase "contrast and clarity while reducing glare." This new lens is extremely similar to my idea because just like the Maxsight lens, my lens can be prescription or regular to allow anybody who needs a prescription to not have to change their lens's.On the other hand, my idea is drastically different then this product. The Maxsight lens will only come in two colors, grey and brown, where my lens will be a clear lens that tints according to how bright it is outside. Also, my lens is not directly towards one cause like the Maxsight is. Nike's lens is primarily for athlete's while they are playing sports. My contact lens is for all purposes and is suppose to make it more convenient for the user's so they don't have to change the contact throughout the day.

Acuvue's colored contact lens's are a way of accessorizing your eyes. They are mainly for changing your eye color when going out for special occasions. This product is not as similar as the Maxsight product but it has some similarities. They are known to be very thin and comfortable which is what I am aiming for for my lens. Comfort is an imperative part of a product to be successful and for my idea, I see them to be flexible and are comfortable. At the same time, this product is very different from mine. My idea is to be practical and convenient for people who don't want to wear sunglasses. The Acuvue contact lens's are more of an accessory than for practical use. 

In the end of analyzing the different companies and ideas it became apparent that there are very similar products that can closely relate to my idea. For example, the Nike's Maxsight lens's have the capability of "blocking 95 % of UVA and UVB light." These products give me other ideas of how I could improve my idea. One of the problems i had with my idea is whether or not the product could be made into a soft contact lens. Nike's product proves that it is possible to have the aspects of the contact lens that my idea entails and can still be a soft comfortable lens. Even though my idea is similar, it has many different aspects that make it a completely different product.

         To help broadcast my idea I would exploit social media by using big time websites such as Facebook. Facebook is such a well known social media website that million upon million of people use. When ever logging into it, you see many different advertisements that pop up depending on your personal interest. If you "like" something or join a group, Facebook can now give that information to advertisement companies which allows them to puts ads on your home screen according to what your interest. This becomes crucial for my idea because when somebody likes anything to do with glasses or sunglasses my invention would pop up onto their screen.    
        Additionally, social media is a way of broadcasting different things in a fast way. If one person posts something on Facebook or tweets on Twitter, the information gets out extremely fast where millions of users can see it. It only takes one person to have any interest in my invention because as soon as they tweet on how good it is, other people would see the tweet and become interested.Just simply posting or tweeting one good review  can bring attention to all social media users which makes them start asking questions. If someone is asking questions, it means they have some sort of interest, and this is how I plan on getting my idea out to the world. 
        Lastly, another way of helping my invention is by using Excel. Excel is a great way of organizing many different things such as income. If my invention were to come to life then I would need something to help organize my money. When having a business, you have to be able to control your revenue. An Excel worksheet gives me the ability to understand my income. But first, I have to get my idea out to the world before I start worrying money that I would get from it. 

      

Entrepreneurial Idea

        When packing for a nice sunny beach day, many people tend to pack things such as sun tan lotion, a towel, and of course, sunglasses. Sunglasses in particular can be very beneficial for a sunny day because it gives people some extra fashion and obviously helps protect their eyes. On the other hand, one thing that you have to be cautious about with them is that they leave sunglasses tans. Sunglasses might be fashionable but when you have the tan lines on your face, there is no more fashion. This is what urged me to think of an invention that could not only help beach goers but anyone who wears sunglasses and eye glasses throughout the day.

    This new contact lens becomes much more beneficial than a pair of sunglasses because it is a healthy convenient way of protecting your eyes from the suns rays. It protects your eyes, allows you to be worry free of any sunglass tan, and never has to be taken out during the day because of the changing tint. Everything about this invention is convenient from the size of it to the luxury of never having to buy a pair of sunglasses or eye glasses again.
